Multifaceted performer who showcases her versatility in the arts

Allison Scagliotti is not only an actress, she is also a talented dancer, musician and director who has succeeded in carving a niche for herself in the entertainment industry.

Her remarkable talent in the various arts is all thanks to the super-skilled and talented coaches that taught her. Scagliotti’s ability to excel not only as an actress but also as a musician, director and dancer has won the hearts of many.

Born in 1990, Allison Scagliotti is a filmmaker, actress and musician. Her family relocated to Mandeville, Louisiana, in the United States, during her early years. At the age of five, she became part of the talent and drama programme at her school, Tchefuncte Middle School. At 11 years old, Scagliotti began working with an acting coach who encouraged her to audition for pilot season in Los Angeles. She subsequently got a role in a sitcom pilot alongside Chevy Chase, a production that took place in New York. 

She initially pursued her studies at Glendale Community College and later continued her education at New York University. While attending New York University, Scagliotti focused on film studies, although she did not complete her degree there. Subsequently, Scagliotti made the move to Los Angeles to pursue her acting career. She later obtained a bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Music Studies through Berklee College of Music’s online programme.

For every phase of her life, Scagliotti has always had a coach training her. From becoming an actress, to a dancer, musician and director. She always had the best hands teaching her. During an interview with Shoutout LA, she gave more insights into the talented coaches who shaped her through her journey.

She said: “I’ve been so privileged to work with a parade of extraordinary mentors along my journey.

“For the acting portion of that journey, it was Chambers Stevens who pulled me out of the south and into Los Angeles, then Michael Woolson who taught me the techniques I live by.

“As a dancer, it was Nicole Harlan, Angel Wong, and Bertha Blankenship who connected me to what my body could do.

“As a musician, Cherie Currie and Nick St. Nicholas were my guiding lights to believe in my music beyond the instrument. Eric Vetro helped me find my unique voice. Dave Darling embraced my weirdness as a songwriter.

“As a director, I was by educated by Mary Lou Belli’s literature and championed by the late Trevor Moore, to whom I will always be grateful.”

Throughout her career, Scagliotti has taken on various television roles. She has made appearances in shows like One Tree Hill, CSI and Nickelodeon’s Zoey 101 series. Her first recurring role was as “Mindy Crenshaw” on Drake & Josh, where she portrayed “Josh’s” rival-turned-girlfriend. This character made a return in the spin-off film, Merry Christmas, Drake & Josh.

Her debut lead role came in the 2005 film, Redemption Maddie, where she played “Maddie”. Another notable appearance was as “Jayna” in an episode during the ninth season of Smallville. In 2010, she co-hosted SyFy’s Ghost Hunters Live on Halloween. She also starred as “Claudia Donovan” in the Syfy series, Warehouse 13, in 2009.

In 2010, Scagliotti made an appearance on The Nerdist Podcast, hosted by Chris Hardwick. She also joined the ranks of Destination Truth as a guest in 2010 and 2011. Her guest star presence extended to Geek & Sundry’s TableTop in 2013, a show hosted by Wil Wheaton.

She continued to appear in subsequent episodes of Warehouse 13 as a guest through 2014. She was also featured in the series Eureka as a guest star in the episode “Crossing Over”. She also played a role in the 2011 indie film, Losers Take All, set in the 1980s rock music scene.

In December 2012, Scagliotti took on the lead role of “Michelle”, a struggling actress, in Unhealthy, which premiered at the HERE Arts Centre in New York City. 

In 2014, the actress took on a role on the advisory board of Sci-Fest LA ahead of the inaugural Los Angeles Science Fiction One-Act Play Festival, held in May of the same year.

She portrayed “Camille”, a main character, in Stitchers from 2015 to 2017. Adding to her repertoire, Scagliotti appeared in the eighth and final season of The Vampire Diaries in 2016, taking on the recurring role of “Georgie”.

From 2015 to 2018, Scagliotti began working with a band named “Nice Enough People”, where she collaborated with Jerry Trainor, her co-star from Drake and Josh. In 2016, she was featured as a video vixen in the music video, Some Are Girls by Maxie Dean.

On June 21, 2019, Scagliotti released her debut solo EP, titled All Them Witches, which she presented under the pseudonym “La Femme Pendu”. Her debut album, Absolute Horror, was released on May 1, 2020. The same year, she followed up with three EPs: Bonne Anniversaire a moi, The Legend of the River King and  Les Ballet Tragiques.

The following year, she released her second album, VAMPYR, on October 22, 2021. The album featured a guest appearance by vocalist Damien Moyal.

Scagliotti was featured on the song Bounty & Blight by Damien Done, Moyal’s band. This track was released as a single on April 21, 2023.
