Devon Bostick is one of the ‘hot guys’ Hollywood has produced over the years. However, not many ‘hot guys’ start out looking hot and that is the case with Bostick. His childhood was filled with many experiences and bullying was a major one.
His ability to tackle the bullying he faced while he was young and his portrayal of his Wimpy Kid character has piqued the interest of fans.

Despite being in the spotlight with the majority of his female fans gushing over how handsome he is, Bostick begs to differ. While speaking with Seventeen, the Saw IV star revealed that while growing up, he was never the ‘hot guy’.
Devon Bostick career
Bostick started his acting career when he was in fifth grade, making his debut on the TV show, Exhibit A: Secrets of Forensic Science in 1998. In the series, he played the role of “Son” in episode one. His subsequent appearances as “Gothic Teen” in two episodes of the 2002-2003 series, Odyssey 5 were followed by roles in television films such as Hustle and Knights of the South Bronx.
In 2005, he took on the character “Brian” in the film Land of the Dead. Over the next two years, he engaged in a variety of projects, spanning both television and the big screen, including Degrassi: The Next Generation, The Altar Boy Gang, A Life Interrupted, Aruba, Citizen Duane, Fugitive Pieces and Saw IV.
In 2008, he played the character “Simon” in the Atom Egoyan-directed film Adoration. The following year, in 2009, he portrayed the character “Brent” in the horror film Saw VI. Simultaneously, He also took on a role in the series Being Erica. Stepping into 2010, he portrayed the character “Rodrick Heffley” in the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series. Within the same year, he made guest appearances in individual episodes of ‘Rookie Blue’, ‘Flashpoint’, and ‘Haven’.
Given the frequent appearances of Bostick in the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series and his character “Rodrick Heffley’s” involvement in bullying behaviour, it is noteworthy that both the Wimpy Kid movies and his role in Degrassi centred around bullying.
During an interview with Seventeen in 2011, the Wimpy Kid star was asked if he had ever been bullied before and he gave a shocking response.
He said: “Oh yeah. I was bullied from grade one to six. Even middle school was tough for me. Everyone had these pre-existing friendships, and I was the new kid, who was acting, so that didn’t help much either. It was tough. But you’ve just got to ignore them and know that down the line that kid will have nothing to do with your life, and who you are. It seems like the entire world revolves around being bullied at that time, but there’s so much more out there, so you have to stick it out.”
By 2013, he was engaged in a ten-episode stint on the web series, ‘Aim High’. Maintaining momentum from 2014 to 2017, he played the lead role of “‘Jasper Jordan” in the series The 100. Throughout this period, Bostick was also seen in films like Small Time, Regression, Being Charlie and Okj’.
