Manchester United boss, Erik ten Hag has lambasted Zidane Iqbal throughout their coaching on Thursday morning.

Zidane is the second Manchester United to really feel the Dutch coach’s wrath after goalkeeper David De Gea, who Ten Hag was caught earlier this week tearing into on the touchline.

The Spaniard had booted the ball up the pitch within the closing levels of United’s 3-1 victory over Crystal Palace in Melbourne and his motion angered the previous Ajax boss.

Ten Hag didn’t hesitate in calling out Zidane on Thursday morning for his efficiency in a fast keep-ball train.

The Dutch boss noticed the 19-year-old making a mistake throughout the drill and bellowed at him saying, “Preserve the ball on the ground. Zidane… hey. Preserve the ball. F garbage!”

Iqbal has impressed off the bench in all three of United’s pre-season video games to date and reviews earlier this month claimed Ten Hag has been ‘stunned’ that the midfielder barely featured beneath Ole Gunnar Solskjaer or Ralf Rangnick final season.
