Joe Jonas career

Jonas’ career has been nothing short of remarkable, starting with his early days alongside his brothers, Kevin and Nick. In 2005, the trio recorded their first song, Please Be Mine, which would change the course of their lives. The then Columbia Records President, Steve Greenberg, was so impressed that he signed them as a group. Initially considering the name Sons of Jonas, they settled on the now-famous Jonas Brothers.

They released their debut studio album, It’s About Time, in 2006. Despite receiving little support from the label, the album paved the way for their rise to stardom. Hits like “Year 3000” and “Mandy” started to make waves, and the group’s popularity grew.

A significant turning point came when they signed with Hollywood Records and released their self-titled second studio album in 2007, which entered the top five of the Billboard 200 and sold over two million copies. Their collaboration with Miley Cyrus on We Got the Party in an episode of “Hannah Montana” brought them more fame and attention.

The Jonas Brothers’ third studio album, A Little Bit Longer, which was released in 2008, debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart and included the hit single “Burnin’ Up”. Their 3D biopic, Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience, was a major success.

They ventured into acting with the Disney series, Jonas, and released their fourth studio album, Lines, Vines, and Trying Times, which debuted at the top spot on the Billboard 200. Joe also made appearances in various shows and films, including Camp Rock.

In 2011, Jonas embarked on a solo career with his album Fastlife and later joined Britney Spears on tour. The Jonas Brothers eventually reunited, releasing new music and planning a tour, but they faced creative differences and ultimately disbanded in 2013.

Jonas then formed the band DNCE, which released the hit Cake by the Ocean. They achieved significant success, and their self-titled album peaked at number nine on the Billboard 200.

In 2018, Jonas joined The Voice in Australia as a coach and released I See Love with British DJ Jonas Blue for the film, Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation. The Jonas Brothers made a highly anticipated comeback in 2019 with Sucker, followed by their album The Album in 2023.

Jonas has shown his commitment to philanthropy and social causes through various initiatives. In May 2021, he partnered with a travel agency, Expedia Group, to create 250 replicas of his right hand. This unique project aimed to promote and encourage Americans who were hesitant to resume travel amid the COVID-19 pandemic. By doing so, he played a role in inspiring confidence and easing the uncertainty associated with travel during these challenging times.

Furthermore, Jonas used his platform to support frontline health workers, recognising their incredible efforts during the pandemic. He also emphasised the importance of mental health care for those affected by the pandemic, shedding light on the mental and emotional challenges that many faced.

In June 2022, Jonas continued his commitment to positive change by joining an environmental campaign led by the Texas Department of Transportation called “Don’t Mess with Texas.” This campaign encourages people to refrain from littering while travelling on the road, promoting environmental consciousness and responsible behaviour.

Joe Jonas family

Jonas was, until recently, married to English actress, Sophie Turner. Their love story began in 2016, and it did not take long for them to take a significant step forward in their relationship. In October 2017, Jonas and Sophie got engaged.

Their union was celebrated memorably, with a spontaneous wedding ceremony in Las Vegas, Nevada, on May 1, 2019. This initial wedding was a surprise to many. The couple followed it up with a more formal and traditional ceremony held in Paris, France, on June 29, 2019.

The family grew when they welcomed two daughters into the world. However, the couple decided to part and go their separate ways in 2023 after a messy divorce and fight for custody of the children.

Sophie Turner

Sophie Belinda Turner, born on February 21, 1996, is an English actress who continues to make a significant mark in the world of entertainment.

She gained widespread recognition for her outstanding portrayal of “Sansa Stark” in the HBO epic fantasy television series, Game of Thrones, a role she held from 2011 to 2019. Her exceptional performance in the series earned her an Emmy Award nomination for “Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series” in 2019.

Turner also starred in the British drama television film, The Thirteenth Tale. Shortly after, she ventured into feature films, making her debut in the psychological thriller, Another Me, in 2013. Her presence on the big screen continued with the action comedy, Barely Lethal, in 2015.

One of her most notable film roles was portraying a young “Jean Grey”, also known as Phoenix, in the X-Men film series from 2016 to 2019.

Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner’s divorce

In September 2023, Jonas filed for divorce from Turner in Miami, Florida. This announcement marked a change in their relationship.

Following the divorce filing, a legal battle ensued when Turner sued Jonas, citing “wrongful detention”. She claimed that Jonas was refusing to allow their two daughters to return to England, which had been registered as their permanent residence earlier in the year.

However, it seems that the former couple recognised the importance of finding an amicable resolution for the sake of their children. In October 2023, Jonas and Turner engaged in a mediation process, resulting in an interim custody arrangement. The agreement included a schedule for their two daughters, Willa and Delphine, to spend time with both parents in the United States and the UK.

Willa and Delphine would stay with Turner from October 9 to 21, 2023, during which time they would be allowed to travel to England and throughout the United States.

Afterwards, Turner or the children’s nanny would take the kids to Jonas, with whom they would remain until November 2.

From there, the girls would return to Turner until November 22, head back to Jonas until December 16, and then switch again to Turner’s care until January 7, 2024.

This arrangement will allow the children to experience time in both loving homes while emphasising the co-parenting commitment of their parents.

Notably, Jonas filed to dismiss his divorce case in Miami shortly after the successful mediation process. It appears that they have reached various agreements and are keen on pursuing an amicable resolution of all issues. This decision was followed by a joint statement from the former couple, where they expressed their commitment to being great co-parents and the success of their mediation process.
