Born in 1988 as Tania Raymonde Helen Katz, the actress adopted her first two names for the big screen. Raymonde’s background is a fusion of Jewish American and French Catholic cultures. Her father’s roots trace back to Polish-Jewish descent, while her mother comes from the island of Corsica, in France.

The California native attended a French school, Lycée Français de Los Angeles, during her childhood. 

Raymonde’s step into the world of acting was ignited by a seemingly ordinary event – a school play in her fourth grade. Playing the role of “Dorothy” in the play due to a twist of fate, her talent shone through and it set her on a path she was destined to follow. Soon after, her appearance in television shows marked the beginning of her professional acting career.

Raymonde’s first step into television was in the episode “Syd in Wonderland” of the TV series, Providence. Her portrayal of “Alice/Young Syd” showcased her talent. Following this, she made appearances on various TV shows, including The Brothers Garcia, The Nightmare Room, That’s So Raven, The Guardian, Medium, Malcolm in the Middle, and NCIS

Raymonde’s transition from television to film was marked by her appearance in her first feature film, Children on Their Birthdays (2002). Notably, she also took on the role of “Lauren O’Keefe” in the sitcom The O’Keefes in 2003, showcasing her comedic prowess.

One of Raymonde’s most recognisable roles was her portrayal of “Alex Rousseau” in the ABC drama, Lost. Her character, the adopted daughter of “Benjamin Linus” (played by Michael Emerson), added depth and intrigue to the series. 

Her filmography expanded to encompass a range of projects. She appeared in films such as The Garage (2006), The Other Side of the Tracks (2008), Japan (2008), Chasing 3000 (2008) and Elsewhere (2009). She got a recurring role in the Starz series, Crash. She also left a lasting impression as “Frankie Rafferty” in season 6 of Cold Case and the NBC series, Chicago Fire

Another memorable portrayal was her role as “Jodi Arias”, the convicted murderer, in the movie Jodi Arias: Dirty Little Secret (2013).

Raymonde’s creativity extended beyond acting, as evidenced by her endeavour as a filmmaker. At the age of 17, she took on the roles of writer, editor and director for the short film, Cell Division.

From 2016 to 2021, Raymonde’s career soared to new heights as she starred alongside Billy Bob Thornton in the Golden Globe-winning Amazon series, Goliath. Her performance in this acclaimed series showcased her ability to tackle complex characters and narratives with finesse.

Aside from acting, she has always appeared in several music videos over the years. The Cold Case star has made an appearance in Maroon 5’s music video for Won’t Go Home Without You, I Couldn’t Love You by Cursive, Red Alert by Arshad Aslam, Killing Days and Living Nights by Keram Malicki Sanchez.
